The School of Critical Studies in the College of Arts and Humanities seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Communications (Research & Teaching Track).
The postholder will undertake research of international excellence and contribute to knowledge exchange activities relative to the discipline, contribute to learning and teaching on agreed programmes and undertake administration and service activities in line with the School/College’s strategic objectives.
For appointment at Grade 8, the postholder will develop, lead and sustain research and scholarship of international standard and contribute to an excellent student experience by developing and delivering lectures, as well as organising and reviewing agreed teaching, assessment and administration processes to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Critical Studies.
Communications will sit within the English Language and Linguistics subject area, alongside the School’s other subject areas of English Literature, Scottish Literature and Theology and Religious Studies. In its research, the School fosters excellent connections with collaborators across Glasgow and beyond, and Communications colleagues will work actively and impactfully with local partners towards public engagement with their teaching and research.
