The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced academic to assume responsibility for teaching, curriculum development and on-going scholarship for the Fashion Media Programme at London College of Fashion (LCF).
Based in the School of Media and Communication, you’ll apply your skills in Fashion Media to deliver high-quality teaching to students, while promoting and maintaining standards of good practice in teaching, delivery, and curriculum development.
Working closely with the programme team, you’ll help to expand the curriculum in innovative and critical directions, stimulating thought and practice, whilst challenging the canon of Fashion Media to promote diversity and inclusion.
In addition to this, you will provide academic and pastoral support to students on your teaching programme, maintaining records and monitoring progress to ensure that their educational needs are met.
About you
To succeed in this role, you'll need a relevant undergraduate degree or equivalent experience, along with a strong background in teaching and assessment within a Higher Education environment.
You'll be regarded as an authority in your field of specialism and will ideally demonstrate research involvement within the fields of Fashion Image, Fashion Film, and New Media, or will possess ambitions to develop research interests in these areas.
Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership skills are also essential, in addition to your ability to plan, prioritise and manage resources effectively to achieve short-term and long-term objectives.
