We are looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to support Franklin’s growth and be a key member of our finance department, reporting into the Finance Manager and the Financial Controller.  

Responsibilities                                                                                                                    

As an Assistant Finance Manager, you will:

  • Provide support across the full remit of the finance department.
  • Manage and mentor two members of the team.
  • Provide analysis and general financial support to the Finance Team, assisting with the production and monitoring of budgets, cash flow reconciliations, supporting with month and year-end accounts and statutory reporting.
  • Prepare payment runs and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and manage of month end timetable to deadlines.
  • Develop and provide cover for colleagues within the team.
  • Provide business partnering support for members within science themes as well as the operations department to overcome problems and implement change.
  • Make recommendations in relation to improvements and maintenance of internal controls and provide documentation.
  • Review financial records for accuracy.
  • Design and implement new processes and systems.
  • Manage projects, as and when needed.
