Faculty of Environment, Science and Economy, Business School, Department of Management – Degree Apprenticeships
This new full-time role is available immediately on a fixed term basis for two years. We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements.
The University of Exeter Business School has developed a suite of Degree Apprenticeship programmes designed in collaboration with employers to meet all aspects of the apprenticeship standards. UEBS aims to fulfil employer expectations and includes employer involvement right from the start of the degree.
Our design is premised on the assumption that the most authentic and powerful pedagogy is one that focuses on the identification, analysis and resolution of immediate problems in the apprentices’ world, therefore these programme link learning directly to the working professional. We believe that this philosophy directly fits with the requirements laid down by apprenticeship standards, serving both apprentice and employer.
The role
The post of Lecturer in Leadership and Management (Degree Apprenticeships) will be to support the delivery of the leadership and management apprenticeships across all levels. The post will include the design, development and delivery of teaching and learning material suitable for use in our leadership and management apprenticeship programmes. This will include delivery across a range of modules within this subject area, including work-based projects, strategic business proposals and developing leadership and managerial behaviours. These programmes are delivered through blended learning, a mixture of online, on-campus and employer premises masterclasses with a significant element of workplace learning and assessment.
