The University of Glasgow School of Law seeks to appoint either a Lecturer (Grade 7 or 8) or Senior Lecturer in Administrative Law (Research & Teaching Track).
Administrative Law is construed broadly to include all aspects of judicial review, administrative justice, and the law relating to public administration in Scots law or in English law, including (but not limited to) social security law, housing law, local government law, immigration law, and public regulation. Teaching duties will be primarily in the area of UK and Scots administrative law, and also in UK constitutional law. The successful candidate will be joining one of the UK’s leading research and teaching teams in public law.

For appointment at Lecturer Grade 7, the postholder will undertake research of international excellence and contribute to knowledge exchange activities relative to the discipline of Administrative Law, contribute to undergraduate learning and teaching in Administrative Law and in UK Constitutional Law and undertake administration and service activities in line with the School/College’s strategic objectives.
For appointment at Lecturer Grade 8, the postholder will make a substantial contribution which will include leading high quality research activities and delivering, organising and reviewing key areas of teaching and learning within the School.
For appointment at Senior Lecturer Grade 9, the postholder will will make a substantial and positive contribution to the strategic direction of the School/College through leading and contributing to research of international standard, high quality teaching, primarily at undergraduate level, securing research funding, and providing academic leadership and management within the School/College. The post holder will be expected to engage actively in relationships with external stakeholders that advance knowledge exchange, public understanding and outreach.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended.
