The Candidate
The Department of Accounting and Financial Management (AFM) seeks to recruit an outstanding research-active Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Accounting. The advertised post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to our current suite of professionally-accredited accounting and finance programmes and play a significant role in the development of new programmes.
The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and to the administration of the Department. Applicants will be invited to show how their research interests complement those within the Department and the successful candidate will have a track record of (or demonstrate potential for) impactful world-leading or internationally excellent research. Evidence of developing funding applications and an emerging track record of success is highly desirable. The Department delivers high-quality, innovative teaching and the successful applicant will share our vision for preparing accounting and finance students for the world of work as they encounter a changing digital environment, and new business and societal challenges.
We are committed to challenge-led research that engages with contemporary debates in policy, the profession, business and society. Whilst we welcome applications from all areas of the discipline, we are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate an expertise in either traditional areas, such as Financial Accounting, or in tech-based areas such asFinTech and Artificial Intelligence in relation to accounting-change.
In return we offer a highly competitive rewards and benefits package.
