About the College/Department

The post is based within the School of Allied Health and Social care, one of three Schools within the College of Health, Psychology and Social Care. However, the post holder will also be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues across different disciplines within the College.
You will join the discipline of Diagnostics and Clinical interventions which has a strong history of providing high quality teaching and learning experiences for both pre and post-registration students. You will work with a highly motivated team who are enthusiastic about ensuring a high quality student experience whilst studying at the University of Derby.
About the Role
The successful candidate will join our team of enthusiastic, committed and friendly staff who deliver innovative teaching across our portfolio of Diagnostic Imaging programmes. This will include the BSc and MSc Diagnostic Radiography (pre-registration) which are newly revalidated, and also our BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography (assistant practitioner progression) apprenticeship. It is an exciting time to join this developing team to help shape Radiography education within the University of Derby.
You will ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching in accordance with the university’s strategic objectives in order to provide and exceptional student experience. You will work with the programme teams and Head of Discipline to ensure that curriculum development, quality management and enhancement comply with required standards. You will ensure that research informs and inspires an evidence led curriculum and teaching.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Diagnostic Radiographer who must hold a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent. You must be registered with the HCPC as a Diagnostic Radiographer. You should be passionate about teaching the next generation of diagnostic radiographers and may have experience in a specialist area of practice such as reporting, mammography, CT, MRI or nuclear medicine. Previous teaching experience in an academic or clinical setting is desirable.
