About us
The School of Education originated from the Research Division of Higher Education established in 1982, then transferred to the Institute of Higher Education Research in 1987. The Department of Educational Economics and Administration was founded in 2002, and the Institute of Education was established in 2009 by means of merging. Due to the fast-growing need for training school teachers, Tao Xingzhi School of Teacher Education was founded in 2019, opening two majors in subject teaching -- English and physics. Nowadays, the School of Education consists of the Institute of Education and Tao Xingzhi School of Teacher Education. The School of Education is authorized to confer the Ph.D degrees and Master's degrees in education and administration. The School also provides Ed.D (Doctor of Education) and Ed.M (Master of Education) programs. The School of Education contains the Institute of Higher Education, the Institute of Educational Economics and Administration, the Institute of Teaching and Curriculum, the Research Center of Jiangsu Education Examination, the Research Center of Jiangsu Prestigious Teachers Development, Yangzte River Education Think Tank, the Higher Education Research and Evaluation Center.
