We are seeking to recruit a postdoctoral research associate to work on a new project in the laboratory of Claudia Bonfio in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Cambridge, UK.
The project will push the bounds of early Earth lipid chemistry, exploring pathways by which the vast array of diverse lipids now associated with biological membranes came into being.
Research in the Bonfio lab focuses on the chemical origins and properties of early lipid membranes and compartments (www.bonfiolab.eu).
The key responsibilities of the post will be conducting an independent research project, assisting with projects ongoing in the lab, and contributing to lab organisation and general lab duties.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 1 years in the first instance.
