University of Central Lancashire London, a partner of the University of Central Lancashire, is an ambitious, teaching focussed HE provider, primarily aimed at widening participation audience. Based in London’s East India Docks, the university currently delivers courses related to Business, Computing, Health and Social Care, Public Health, Psychology and Mental Health and Wellbeing.

Continued growth in demand for our student-centred courses has led to the opportunity to expand our Director of Studies team through the addition of a Deputy Director of Studies (Academic Support). We are therefore seeking an ambitious, driven and values-led professional with experience in delivering interventions and projects associated with academic support and outcomes.  

The Role

The Deputy Director of Studies (Student Engagement) is a critical role at the University of Central Lancashire London and will form part of the Director of Studies Office. Working closely with the Director of Studies, you will also be required to resolve issues relating to academic misconduct and appeals and work closely with the both internal and external stakeholders. You will be required to deputise for the Director of Studies and represent the university on relevant committees as appropriate.

To succeed in this role, you must be qualified to Masters level and have professional experience in areas relating to student engagement and retention. Knowledge and experience of university administration is essential, as is a proficiency in the use of MS Office applications. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and in all styles, and ability to interact with academics and potential and current students in a way which enhances their experience.

Further Information

The University will be unable to sponsor candidates for a visa for this role. You must have an existing right to live and work in the United Kingdom without any forms of restriction or caveat as provided under the Immigration Act 1971 as amended.
