Background
The Department of International Politics has established an international reputation as a centre of excellence in research and teaching. Over the past 10 years it has rapidly expanded and currently has over 800 students and a vibrant interdisciplinary community of researchers, in Comparative Politics, International Political Economy, International Relations, and Modern History. The Department offers an exceptional and varied programme of study providing a full teaching programme, which includes six undergraduate programmes, four MA programmes, and a PhD programme.
Responsibilities
The Department is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in International Politics. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in high-quality research, publish in leading academic journals and/or university presses, teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contribute to the supervision of students, and contribute fully to the life and work of the Department.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have a PhD and be an internationally outstanding researcher and educator with an excellent publication record and research expertise in International Politics, broadly defined.
