About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral research associate (PDRA) to join the research group of Professor Gina Neff, Professor of Responsible AI at Queen Mary’s Digital Environment Research Institute (DERI).
The project focuses on developing AI safety guidelines and is funded as part of the AI Safety Institute, and UKRI research programme looking at working towards AI Safety. You will contribute towards the development of frameworks for workplace monitoring and mitigation of sociotechnical AI risks in the post-deployment stage of AI development.
The role is funded until February 2026 in the first instance.
About You
You will have a PhD and track record in a relevant subject area including experience of research methods with a particular focus on social impact of digital technologies. You also will have a good track record of publishing your research in the peer-reviewed literature, and where relevant, of writing or helping to write research grants.
