Job Description

The Business School seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor of Business Management to supervise PhD and MBA research, teach across levels, and conduct high-impact research in HR Management. The role involves working with the Head of Programme, Dean, and faculty members to enhance BUiD’s reputation for academic excellence. Candidates must have strong academic experience and a record of PhD supervision and publications.

Job Purpose

The role involves research leadership, PhD supervision, curriculum development, and academic administration. The candidate will contribute strategically to programme development and accreditation while strengthening BUiD’s research culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Governance – Contribute to policy development and ensure compliance.
  • Faculty Operations & Growth – Lead faculty development and maintain high standards.
  • Curriculum & Accreditation – Develop innovative programmes and maintain accreditations.
  • Research & Teaching – Foster research activities, secure grants, and teach business management modules.
  • Community Engagement – Build partnerships with industry, government, and academia.
  • Other Responsibilities – Support university events and undertake additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • PhD in Business Management (preferably HR Management).
  • Effective teaching and research track record.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Ethical, inspirational, and adaptable to diverse environments.
  • Excellent IT, e-learning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
