In this role, you would support learners with disabilities and learning difficulties on their work experience placements.
You would help them plan their journey, time keeping, settling the student into the placement and ensuring they understand the expectations of the employer. You would be the link between the placement and the Learning Support team, communicating feedback, concerns and relevant observations. When not supporting the students on placement, you would provide class-based learning support.
You will need to possess good communication skills and have some experience of working with young people with learning difficulties/disabilities. You should be able to work effectively as part of a team and be able to motivate and support young people. Personal transport would be desirable, as the role will involve travelling to employers’ premises.
