We invite qualified candidates to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the emerging field of printable large-area thin-film electronics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to engage in a stimulating research project focused on developing and fully characterizing printable materials and their integration into thin-film transistors and electronic circuits. Responsibilities include designing, fabricating, and characterizing printed thin-film transistors with optimized architectures. The use of contact work-function-modifying monolayers to pattern materials and improve charge injection into the resulting devices, as well as the creation of devices with minimal parasitic capacitances, will be key priorities for the project.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a dynamic team of world-leading experts and work in our state-of-the-art facilities located within the Henry Royce Institute Hub Building at The University of Manchester. The ideal candidate will hold or be about to obtain a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline, with a solid foundation in solution-processable materials, device manufacturing, charge transport physics, self-assembling monolayer materials, and relevant patterning techniques.
What you will get in return:
