The University proposes to appoint a new McDonald Post-Doctoral Fellow in Christian Ethics & Public Life. The McDonald Fellow will be a full member of the Faculty of Theology & Religion and be attached to and work within the McDonald Centre for Theology, Ethics, and Public Life.

The appointment is tenable from the point of appointment onwards or as soon as possible thereafter (ideally before September 2025). This is a fixed-term position for four years (renewable for a further year upon review). It is designed to provide a career development opportunity for an outstanding scholar at an early stage in their career.

Alongside their pay, the McDonald Fellow will have access to a Faculty research allowance. The successful candidate will also be offered membership of the Senior Common Room at Christ Church (which confers a number of privileges).
