The Centre for Global Health at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Research Fellow to work on a research project funded by NIHR on respiratory health with five African partners.
The Opportunity:
The post-holder would be expected to engage in the research activities for EQUI-RESP-AFRICA Work Packages 1-4, across the whole of respiratory health. This will include either leading, or supporting researchers working in partner countries in evidence synthesis, identifying and mapping gaps and bottlenecks, documenting and studying community engagement and stakeholder involvement, and taking part in the randomized controlled trial in pulmonary rehabilitation. The post-holder will also acquire knowledge in using the CHNRI, EQUIST and PATHS tools and take part in their implementation.
This post will play a major role in determining the key research outputs in respiratory health across the EQUI-RESP-AFRICA network, and globally, and will likely strongly influence the direction of the research activities of the group now and in the future.
Informal enquiries may be directed to Igor Rudan, Professor and PI for this project (igor.rudan@ed.ac.uk)
