The University of Kent is moving forward at pace, working to deliver our ambitious Kent 2030 strategy. We are building on our world-class teaching and research reputation to become a leading civic university, supported by progressive courses that place us at the heart of public and intellectual life. Our work is driven by our deep and abiding values, our pride in our past and the people and communities we serve.
Kent Business School is central to our 2030 strategy. The University’s vision for the School is that it provides a student-centred curriculum, delivering academic excellence and high-level transferable skills to ensure the best student outcomes and ensuring our students are work and career ready. This will be achieved by developing significant partnerships; working closely with industry; taking a transnational approach to education; and research and innovation.
We are now looking to appoint the next Dean of Kent Business School. This is a hugely important appointment which will play a key part in developing the University for the future. With overall accountability for the strategic and operational performance of the School, the role holder will, with the support of their leadership team, lead the School – creating a shared vision and values, and demonstrating ambition for the University to achieve its mission.
The Dean must be an inspiring leader with proven academic credibility and a commercial mindset. They will be an engaging, consensus-building leader focused on outcomes, possessing a deep understanding of the actions required for the University’s success.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to lead one of the University’s key academic schools, fostering a cohesive culture and an environment that promotes outstanding academic achievement and sustainable growth in both education and research.
This is a time of great opportunity for Kent; join us to lead this exciting chapter.
