NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is a Special Health Authority within the NHS, responsible for optimising the supply of blood, organs, plasma, and tissues while enhancing the quality and efficiency of blood and transplant services.
The Statistics and Clinical Research group provides expertise in study design and analysis across organ and tissue donation, transplantation, blood donation, and transfusion medicine. The NHSBT Clinical Trials Unit, part of this group, is responsible for clinical trial design, conduct, and analysis. The insights gained inform critical decisions about donation, transplantation, transfusion practices, and patient care.
A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Principal Statistician, based in our Bristol office, with hybrid working available. You will lead statistical work within transfusion medicine or organ and tissue donation and transplantation while engaging in statistical and management activities. You will have line management responsibility for a small team and be part of the Statistics Management Group, providing leadership to the wider team.
In return, we offer a dynamic and supportive working environment where teamwork is valued. We prioritise personal development, offering extensive training opportunities for all employees.
