Our students and staff, past, present, and future, are the beating heart of our city and can be found in every corner of every industry and community. We couldn’t exist anywhere else and have shaped the city in which we belong. Working with the people of Liverpool to improve lives and support communities is at the heart of why we were founded and why we exist today.
Based within Student Recruitment Marketing and Admissions we are seeking a highly motivated and creative marketing professional to lead our undergraduate recruitment marketing activity, providing maternity leave cover for up to 12 months form May 2025.
Educated to degree level, you will have a proven track record of developing, implementing and evaluating recruitment marketing plans within higher education. Leading and inspiring the undergraduate recruitment marketing team, you will work collaboratively with other managers within the directorate to ensure the effective alignment of activities and resources across the university as well as with academic colleagues and other professional service teams.
You will oversee a broad range of recruitment marketing activity across the prospective student journey, including the production of promotional materials, the development of an engaging communications strategy, the delivery of digital recruitment campaigns and a programme of on-campus and virtual events.
With a solid understanding of the issues facing undergraduate recruitment in higher education you will require the ability to build strong and effective relationships with colleagues and to influence and advise senior decision-makers.
Experience of managing staff and developing and motivating teams to achieve objectives is also required as well as managing budgets and the procurement of goods and services.
Secondments will be considered but you should seek approval from your current line manager before applying for the post.

This is an exciting time to join the university as we deliver the LJMU Strategy 2030 and its vision of LJMU as an inclusive civic university transforming lives and futures, by placing students at the heart of everything we do.
If you feel that this is the role you have been looking for and your skills and experience can make a real difference at LJMU, we look forward to hearing from you.
