The School of Culture and Society, Department of Global studies invites applications for a teaching associate professorship in Russian Language The position is affiliated with the Department of Global studies programme, and involves teaching Russian language courses to undergraduates and postgraduates from beginner to upper intermediate level.
The teaching associate professorship is a two year fixed term position with the possibility of extension dedicated to full-time teaching, including professional development. The appointment begins on 1st of August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Place of work: Department of Global Studies, Aarhus University. The successful applicant is expected to be present at the department on a daily basis.

The position
We are seeking an innovative and dedicated candidate who can teach Russian as a foreign language at university level, from beginners to upper-intermediate competencies. The position entails a full load of language teaching and does not include research responsibilities. However, twenty percent of the position is devoted to professional development which is envisaged in part as contributing to curriculum development and implementing innovative teaching and learning strategies.

The applicant must submit a teaching portfolio including a list of courses taught, representative or sample course outlines, and representative student evaluations.
The application must be completed in English.
The position is open to applicants of any citizenship. If the successful applicant is not fluent in Danish, he or she will be expected to learn Danish within a period of approximately two years of appointment, and appropriate support will be given for this purpose.
