Munster Technological University (MTU) was established on 1st January 2021 and is the newest University in the South-West with six campuses across Cork and Kerry. MTU has over 18,000 learners, 2,000 staff and 140 courses and programmes ranging from apprenticeships, degrees, Masters to PhDs. Within this period of transition and transformation, MTU is seeking to appoint a new Vice-President for Engagement and International. The Vice-President will sit on the University’s Executive team and will report directly to the President. They will be responsible for all matters of engagement, marketing, communications, external relations, international, fundraising and alumni. The role of Vice-President for Engagement and International will have ultimate responsibility for the strategic themes of Leading Regional Development and Global Outlook within the University Strategic Plan. This individual will work collaboratively with the Vice-President for Research and Innovation and Vice-President, Academic Affairs and Registrar to enhance regional and global engagement providing a significant contribution to the University’s strategic development.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in external engagement with a track record of establishing and nurturing strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders. This individual will also have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to undertake a representational role on behalf of the University.
