Sessional Teacher of British Sign Language

The Opportunity

You’ll deliver non-accredited, introductory BSL classes one evening per week at either our Roundhouse or Ilkeston Campus as required. Each course will run for 12 hours over 6 weeks, subject to sufficient student numbers. You’ll be responsible for successfully planning and delivering lessons, monitoring student progress and entering student data into our administrative systems.

About You

You’ll be confident in your Sign Language skills and hold at least a Level 3 qualification in BSL. You’ll have a passion for teaching BSL to adults and excellent interpersonal skills are essential. It is essential that you hold a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards) and have achieved a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Maths and English.
