You will bring expertise, passion and a can do attitude, and be ready to support the HR team in delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused service across the University.
The role covers a broad spectrum of HR activity, focusing on the employee experience especially during recruitment and onboarding; providing operational support and guidance to a wide range of internal stakeholders; with a focus on the University Medical School. The role covers a range of people management matters including recruitment, grievance, disciplinary and absence management. The role holder will also provide support o the wider HR Team to support the delivery of key HR projects, and will report to the HR Operations Manager.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills, together with a positive, professional manner and have the ability to deal tactfully and confidently with people at all levels. Given the nature of the role, excellent attention to detail is essential, as is the ability to prioritise work effectively and to work to deadlines on your own initiative. You will have a breadth of experience across Microsoft Office applications and use of an HRIS. It is likely that in additional to having a good general knowledge of current employment legislation; recruitment practice; and some knowledge of medical staffing, you will hold a relevant qualification in HR.
Although these roles are campus based, there is an opportunity to undertake some hybrid working. Part-time hours may also be considered for these full-time roles if requested upon application.
