St John’s College, University of Cambridge, wishes to appoint a Schools Liaison Officer to help recruit excellent undergraduate applicants to the College and the University of Cambridge from a wide range of backgrounds, with the objective of ensuring that students in the College are of the highest academic merit and potential. The College is especially focused upon recruiting strong applicants from UK state schools and colleges and the UK regions.
Reporting to and supporting the Tutor for Undergraduate Admissions, the Schools Liaison Officer will work closely with schools and colleges, prospective students, their parents, representatives of other higher education institutions and third-sector organisations.
They will organise and make extensive visits to schools and colleges, and will arrange visits to Cambridge from schools and colleges, online recruitment events, regional recruitment conferences, open days, academic residentials and other outreach events. They will represent the College and the University and UCAS HE Fairs.
