MANIFEST (https://www.manifest-io.org.uk), a UKRI/MRC funded consortium and platform, leverages scalable methodologies to provide deep profiling of patients receiving immunotherapy; delivering multimodal data integration and modelling. The platform comprises NHS trusts (hospitals), research institutes and universities, and industry partners. 

The MANIFEST consortium represents a diverse group of UK-wide experts in cancer research and clinical care comprising major NHS trusts, academic institutes and universities, and industry partners. This grant is funded by the UK Office of Life Sciences (OLS) and the Medical Research Council (MRC).

The Consortium Programme Manager will play a critical role, working with all consortium partners, to deliver on its goals and milestones. The role is most suited to someone who has experience of managing complex grants or projects with national or international reach and ambition, preferably within the scientific or pharmaceutical industry. The post will be based at the Crick in London, and will involve working closely with consortium partners throughout the UK.

The post is offered full-time (36 hours per week), on a fixed-term basis for 48 months.

About you

You will bring:

Essential skills/experience

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject or substantial relevant experience.
  • Experience in the management of science and/or research projects in an academic, non- profit or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Programme management experience across the whole of the grant lifecycle, from project start-up, through to close-out and grant reporting.
  • Stakeholder management experience, particularly with scientific, clinical or pharmaceutical industry partners locally or internationally, supported by excellent relationship building skills
  • Experience in managing meetings with senior stakeholders, including setting agendas, taking minutes, and delivering on objectives.
  • Ability to monitor and analyse complex financial data and produce reliable and accurate financial reports as per the grant reporting requirements.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload and prioritise competing demands.
