LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university
Salary from £35,758 to £40,741 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £43,604 pa inclusive of London allowance.
The LSE’s mission charges the School with making a positive difference to the world through bringing research-based knowledge to public problems and educating students with the capacity to lead in solving those problems.
Our participation in the University of London Programmes (UoLP) are a key channel in achieving this goal. There are circa 10,000 students in 40 countries across the globe currently studying LSE-designed and examined undergraduate programmes at one of 30 Recognised Teaching Centres, or through online distance learning. LSE’s UoL programmes are managed from the Extended Education Unit – a highly successful and commercially driven team that delivers LSE’s distance learning degree programmes and open enrolment short courses.
We seek a Business Development Officer, with demonstrable organisation and IT skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven ability to work flexibly as part of a team and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders with professionalism.
The postholder will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of our global portfolio of Teaching Centre partnerships for LSE’s Distance Learning programmes. They will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team to deliver first-class relationship management and enhance our administrative support for new and existing Teaching Centres. They will also progress new business development, producing intelligence-gathering, briefings and data reporting in support of our business development objectives.
You will be part of an ambitious, responsive and proactive team, working closely with the Business Development team, Recognised Teaching Centres across the world, LSE academics and University of London colleagues. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our business development operations and helping LSE achieve its goals for the programme.
We offer a highly attractive pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent training and development opportunities.
Please note this role is office-based three days a week with two days a week from home, except during peak periods (e.g. exam sessions) when it is office-based four days a week, with one day a week working from home (approx. 13 weeks in the year).
