The University of Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic part-time Disability Support Coordinator (0.4 FTE) to support the work of the Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre.
About the Team:
The Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) is part of the Academic Division and reports to the joint Heads of Student Support within Education Services. The ADRC provides advice, information and support to prospective disabled applicants, undergraduates, graduates and to the staff who support them. It also provides support and advice to Colleges and Departments/Faculties on the Equality Act (2010) in relation to disability equality matters.
About the Role:
The Disability Support Coordinator coordinates the ADRC's Non-Medical Help (NMH) Scheme. The role-holder establishes Student NMH requirements and coordinates provision of NMH support. The role holder also organises support, training and supervision for NMH workers. The activities of the Disability Support Coordinator play an essential part in ensuring that the University meets its statutory duties in respect of the support for disabled students.
Interested applicants for this post should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) or have equivalent experience and have administrative experience within a Higher Education environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
