The opportunity
Are you passionate about sustainable travel and biodiversity? Do you want to contribute to transformative change at a university committed to achieving Net Zero by 2040? University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a Sustainable Infrastructure Officer to play a pivotal role in delivering transport and biodiversity initiatives across our diverse estate.
UAL is in an exciting phase of its sustainability journey, developing a bold strategy to achieve Net Zero across our entire carbon footprint. Significant progress has been made, but we are determined to do more and you can be at the heart of this critical work.
As part of a growing team dedicated to sustainability, you’ll work within the Estates department and will be a key player in implementing impactful green initiatives that promote low-carbon travel and enhance biodiversity across UAL’s estate. Your key responsibilities will include:

About you
We are looking for a motivated professional who can combine technical expertise with a passion for sustainability. To thrive in this role, you’ll need a degree or equivalent relevant experience, alongside a solid understanding of biodiversity and transport planning, especially in the context of urban environments.
Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. IEMA, CIWEM, CIEEM), or a commitment to work towards it, is desirable but not essential.
