We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Health Research Manager to join The Global Health Network at the Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health within the Nuffield Department of Medicine. The Network makes a direct impact to front line healthcare workers, researchers and to the health of communities in Low-and Middle-Income Countries by supporting research capacity development and implementation.
You will be working within The Global Health Network team whose objective is to enable generating research evidence by healthcare workers and researchers in resource poor countries and during disease outbreaks where evidence is needed but missing. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will work closely with the operational team to implement the research methodology, teaching and study resources that are provided through The Global Health Network.
You will be responsible for developing resources, coordinating research capacity development activities and delivering operational guidance to The Global Health Network community. You will help in the development of training programmes, support partner organisation teams in developing and using systems, processes and frameworks for reporting activities and tracking the impact of work. You will provide support to various community areas within the platform by signposting resources, participating in ongoing community discussions and help in developing strategies to engage research teams and institutions across Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean to support the identification of new collaborators.
It is essential that you hold a degree in health-related sciences together with in-depth understanding of health research methods, processes and governance. You will have previous experience of working in health research as a researcher, study coordinator, data manager, research nurse, sponsor or similar.
