The School of Social Sciences at Birkbeck, University of London aims to recruit an Associate Lecturer to teach on our postgraduate Energy & Climate Change module.
As Associate Lecturer you would teach the module:
You will have knowledge of the key aspects of energy systems, their physical underpinnings and how they link to climate change with a focus on renewable energy technologies.
You will have a strong commitment to postgraduate teaching and be qualified to the corresponding level of the award (minimum MSc) as required to teach (or demonstrate equivalent professional/industry level experience).
Your role will be to deliver teaching to Birkbeck students, in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully, and to undertake all related course administrative duties as required.

Remuneration:
Payment is based on an hourly rate depending on length of continuous service with the College (starting rate £68.13 per hour inclusive of pro-rata London Allowance and holiday pay) for contact hours worked.
This hourly rate is based on the starting point of Grade 7 and is inclusive of a ‘Duties Related to Teaching Multiplier’ at 2.5, which covers preparation, teaching, administration, assessment marking and other examining duties in connection with the course.
There will be an additional payment at the plain hourly rate of £27.25 for 10 hours work to update the module content.
