Location: Manchester
Closing date for Applications: 28th February 2025
Start date: 1st May 2025
The University of Bolton, Manchester (UOBM) is an exciting new higher education provider in the heart of Manchester, with a focus on high quality teaching and assessment, and an inclusive, business-like culture. As we launch our range of undergraduate courses, we are looking to recruit high quality, highly motivated lecturers with a strong background in practice to match their academic qualifications.
We are looking for a lecturer in Data Skills with utility across a range of other key academic skill areas, including basic research and writing skills. This lecturer will teach on our foundation year programme. We are especially interested in those from industry and commerce looking to start a new career in higher education. Our ideal candidates will have deep knowledge of academic skills, ideally with a maths specialism and will be an outstanding lecturer. They will be passionate about improving the life-chances of our students and have a deep interest in providing holistic academic and professional development.
Successful candidates will work from our building at the Manchester Science Park and potentially our new building in the City Centre. All staff are required to teach face-to-face but may occasionally need to teach online, so familiarity with online delivery, and Zoom in particular, will be an advantage.
Salaries are competitive and based on candidates' qualifications, experience, and utility. Fellowship of the HEA or an undertaking to achieving this will also be an advantage. You will be qualified to Bachelor’s degree level as a minimum in a relevant subject.
You must have an unrestricted right to live and work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship. To apply, please send a current CV and covering letter via the 'Apply' button above.
