We are a welcoming, collegiate and ambitious department made up of highly experienced academic, teaching and professional services colleagues dedicated to enabling and empowering students to be the best they can be as part of a world-leading university.
About the role
King's Foundations is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional educator to join as the Head of the King’s International Foundation Programme.
For this key leadership role, we are looking for an experienced educator to join our team and lead our King’s International Foundation Programme (KIF). The KIF is the largest in-house international foundation programme in the UK with over 900 students studying on our programme each year. It is a highly competitive programme attracting dedicated and hardworking students from across the world eager to progress onto an undergraduate degree in one of the nine faculties at King’s College London.
The successful candidate will be an exceptional, well-rounded leader in pre-undergraduate international education with experience overseeing programmes focussing on supporting student transition into UK higher education. They will hold an in-depth knowledge of and experience of working in level 3 international foundation provision as well as expertise in: assessment design; programme, pathway and module management; educational leadership; programme development and student support.
The successful candidate will collaborate with staff and students across the university to ensure our provision meets the needs of students progressing through the programme. They will lead a team of Coordinators, Senior Tutors, Module Leaders and other academic staff and will take a leading role in the development and implementation of the programme’s short- and long-term strategy.
