The Corporate and Professional Services departments are the cornerstone of the University. They each provide essential and valuable support to both each other and the Academic departments, helping the University to function in the most efficient and productive way, ensuring that the students’ experience is second to none.
The Faculty Assessment Administrator is a key member of the Assessment Team, supporting all Faculty undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The successful candidate will, with training, take ownership of an allocated area of work to gain a thorough and detailed understanding of all aspects of formative and summative assessment. They will have strong administrative experience with an excellent eye for details, working with bespoke and ‘off the shelf’ electronic systems, including working with developers and stakeholders to drive innovation and implement change. The post holder will be confident in championing and delivering training on the use of those systems. The post holder must role model a high professional standard and be willing to work flexibly and creatively, both independently and as part of a team, in a highly demanding environment. In managing a defined and agreed portfolio of work the post holder must model best practice to develop student-centred, clear and robust standard operating processes for all programme assessment.
We recognise that assessment in a medical context is a complex and detailed process. Full training and support will be given to the successful candidate to allow them to perform the role.
The Faculty Assessment Administrator will join a strong administrative team in the Faculty who support each other in their roles and would be expected to support events such as new student selection; open days; assessment days; training events; induction week, graduation etc.
