This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about architectural design and technology to join the Architectural Design and Technology course, part of Architecture and Built Environment subject area at Southampton Solent University.
Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), the BA (Hons) Architectural Design and Technology is a long-established course recognised for delivering real-world, industry-focused education. We are seeking a dedicated academic with the vision and capability to provide high-quality teaching and contribute to the continued development of the course. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in architectural design, and technical design and detailing. Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD and Revit, is essential. Furthermore, industry experience and membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIAT, would be advantageous.
In addition, the successful candidate must demonstrate efficient and professional communication with industry partners, ensuring that our students benefit from valuable industry insights and opportunities. This ability to engage with industry professionals will be key to maintaining and expanding our industry relationships and ensuring our curriculum is both relevant and forward-thinking.
The successful candidate will actively contribute to teaching, research, and other related responsibilities, while also helping to maintain and expand our industry partnerships. This ensures our students receive an education that is aligned with the latest industry trends and professional practice standards.
