We have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Senior Impact Evaluator, within the Propositions Group at Cambridge University Press & Assessment – English, to manage a range of impact evaluation activities which provide evidence of the effectiveness of our products and programmes.

About the role
We are seeking a highly experienced social scientist or educational researcher with strong quantitative skills to join our Impact Evaluation team at Cambridge English.
You will play a key role in shaping how we measure, report, and communicate the impact of our programmes and products, contributing to meaningful change in the field of education and English language learning.
Reporting to the Head of Impact Evaluation, you will manage and conduct impact evaluation projects, and develop compelling, high-quality research proposals based on the needs of internal and external stakeholders. You will also:
About you
You will hold a PhD or equivalent in social sciences, applied linguistics, educational measurement, international development or a related field, with a strong quantitative focus. Exceptional candidates with an MSc or MA in a relevant field will also be considered.
You will be proficient in research design, including quasi-experimental and non-experimental approaches, and will have knowledge and experience of impact evaluation methodologies.
You will have experience in developing data collection instruments, e.g. surveys, focus group and interview protocols, classroom observation checklists along with a strong understanding of sampling approaches, strategies and frameworks.
You will be highly experienced in analysing quantitative data, e.g. descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and hypothesis testing, regression analysis, analysis of variance, factor analysis.
You will have the ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, accessible, and impactful manner, including writing reports for a range of stakeholders.
