The Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant to join our collaborative research team in the Malaria Epidemiology Unit of the Clinical Sciences Department.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to vital global health research investigating the safety of antimalarials used in pregnancy.
The successful candidate will contribute to reproductive/perinatal pharmacoepidemiology studies in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). The candidate will support data analyses from an active multi-centre prospective cohort of pregnant women and their infants. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with an international and multidisciplinary team to develop a pregnancy pharmacovigilance tools suitable for LMICs.
Key responsibilities include:
Support analyses and report writing from the MiMBa Pregnancy Exposure Registry
Support the development of a comprehensive Pregnancy Pharmacovigilance Toolbox suitable for LMICs
Develop novel projects

Circumstances: This post is available from March 2025 on a fixed term basis up to 30th June 2026, with the possibility of extension subject to funding. The post is available at 1.0FTE; however, part-time employment (minimum 0.6FTE) may be considered.
