Applications are invited for a Research Associate position to join this exciting collaborative project led by Brian Stramer (King’s College London) and Rachel Lennon (University of Manchester), who were recently awarded an 8-year Wellcome Discovery Award.
This post will be based in Manchester and will require regular communication with scientists working on this project who are based at King’s College London to coordinate experiments and analyse results.
The goal of this project is to exploit Drosophila genetics to understand the role and regulation of the extracellular matrix during development with the goal of extrapolating to mammalian models and human disease. The postholder will bring expertise in biochemistry and bioinformatics and exploit a variety of approaches, from proteomics to genomics, to understand the mechanisms associated with extracellular matrix assembly and stability.
