We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate position in the School of Social and Political Sciences. The role offers an outstanding opportunity to contribute to a major new, multi-institution programme of research examining the intersection of health and justice issues in Scotland, as part of a project team involving three Universities (Glasgow, Strathclyde and Edinburgh Napier). The role will focus on contributing to a deeper understanding of community experiences of health and justice, working with community partners to produce knowledge that seeks to address inequalities and promote better outcomes. You will bring skills in secondary data analysis and qualitative data-collection, alongside experience of community engagement.
The position offers the successful candidate a chance to shape this important research agenda whilst benefitting from career development opportunities available through the School of Social & Political Sciences, Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research, and the wider programme of work with the Chief Scientists Office of the Scottish Government. The funding is for a 0.6FTE post over two years, from 1st May 2025. However, we are open to exploring alternative configurations (e.g. a 0.8FTE post over a shorter period, or a 0.5FTE post over a longer period).
Informal enquiries should be directed to Professor Alistair Fraser Alistair.Fraser@glasgow.ac.uk
This post is part time (21 hours per week) and has funding for up to 24 months.
