The role
If you are a well-qualified project manager with supply chain management experience, then University of the Arts London (UAL) has an exciting opportunity for you. Join us as a Responsible Procurement Lead and play a key role in the development and delivery of sustainable procurement practices, policies and strategies.
As part of a cross-institutional team, this role offers the chance to support UAL's environmental, social and governance goals, achieving net zero by 2040.
You will lead the delivery of sustainable procurement strategies and policies to drive institutional change, as well as advise on UAL's supply-chain strategy, champion the supply-chain engagement programme and liaise with external parties to ensure alignment with our social purpose goals.
In addition to this, you will also support the development of a culture of best practice principles, as well as contribute to engagement activities that share the work of the University and its commitment to delivering net zero.
About you
We are looking for someone who can contribute to regular progress reporting, communications and behaviour change initiatives. You will be CIPS qualified (or working towards qualification) and will demonstrate proven experience in supply chain management (or a related field) and a track record of implementing sustainable practices.
You will also possess experience of managing and driving projects to identify and implement process improvements that reduce environmental impact. You will be familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning software and can demonstrate knowledge of market dynamics and innovative technologies in the space of supply chain management and mapping.
Using your strong communication skills, you will also be capable of fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including those in our supply-chain, to negotiate, influence and promote responsible practice.
