This role provides essential donor stewardship support across the Major Gift team and the wider Development and Alumni Relations and Engagement team. The role plays a critical role for managing the programme of cultivation and stewardship of the University’s top donors and prospects. Through the relationship management support you will provide to the Major Gift team, you will have a direct and visible impact on the income generated by the DARE team.
You will also support the functions and effective running of the wider DARE team and the Director of Development in providing varied, complex and confidential support.
The Person
We are looking for an excellent communicator with exceptional written and project management skills alongside organisational skills and a high level of IT proficiency. You will be able an agile, team-member who is able to manage your own workload and demonstrate your professional skills in supporting teams and working a variety of stakeholders. You will have significant attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving approach. This role will build on your communication, organisation and exceptional interpersonal skills in a professional environment.
Directorate/Function
With clear alignment to university core objectives and support from senior leadership, Kingston University’s Development, Alumni Relations and Engagement Team is poised to take forward an ambitious three-year strategy which will elevate its focus on transformative giving and diversify income streams to include more robust trusts and corporate giving programmes alongside maintenance of our solid foundation of annual giving and alumni engagement.
The DARE team works across three key areas: development/major giving, alumni and supporter engagement, and alumni data. DARE sits within the Student Directorate (recruitment, admissions, student services and graduate success) which demonstrations our student-led approach and value placed on ensuring the quality of the journey from applicant to graduate and beyond.
