About the role

King’s College London is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Fellow in Clinical Pharmacy to contribute to the delivery of high-quality education in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice. This role is vital to equipping students with the skills and knowledge required for successful careers in healthcare.

The successful candidate will deliver innovative teaching and assessment, integrating both theoretical and practical learning experiences. Responsibilities include leading lectures, facilitating practical sessions, conducting clinical simulation training, and fostering collaboration across healthcare disciplines through interprofessional education (IPE). As the IPE lead, the role involves promoting teamwork between pharmacy and other health care professions across seven workshops. The successful candidate will lead Prevention of Medication Errors workshop and support facilitation in all other workshops. Additionally, the role requires collaborate with the interprofessional faculty.

The role will oversee the Cardiovascular and Renal Systems module for MPharm2 students, managing its design, delivery, and assessment while ensuring alignment with academic standards. Additionally, they will coordinate the annual Pharmacy Careers Fair, serving as a point of contact for students and external stakeholders to support professional development opportunities. The role also includes supervising undergraduate projects, guiding students in their academic journey, and contributing to the development and marking of assessments. This position is ideal for a passionate educator eager to shape the future of pharmacy education and inspire the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for maternity cover for one year until 28th February 2026.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria 

  • Degree in pharmacy with UK GPhC or other national registration body, or other professional healthcare qualification
  • Knowledge in the principles of teaching, learning and assessment in a healthcare or academic setting
  • Excellent knowledge, practical and clinical reasoning skills in the area of pharmacy practice
  • Experience in the organisation, design and delivery of teaching and assessment
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills with ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team  

Desirable criteria

  • Masters/PhD level qualification and/or relevant post registration training
  • Experience of coordination and administration of educational modules
  • Experience with tutoring and supervising students
