About the role…
This role focuses on the causes of genetic eye disease to improve diagnostics and develop new treatments for patients. The lab focuses on the pathophysiology of genetic eye disease by exploring the molecular and cellular basis of the disease using multi-omic approaches in model systems.
The work is interdisciplinary, crossing the boundaries between science and clinical practise, and working in collaboration with University College London and Moorfields Eye Hospital. The work has a direct impact on patient outcomes and contributes to the process to help to preserve sight. As a result, patients are keen to engage, and support the work we do.
