Shape the future of Healthcare and Computer Science

The Faculty of Medicine and School of Electronics & Computer Science (ECS) have launched a joint strategic investment to promote and strengthen interdisciplinary research in healthcare using advanced computational techniques, data science expertise and methodologies. We are recruiting a new team with joint appointments between ECS and Medicine to create an environment of interdisciplinary research between these areas.

The university offers support of academics from a broad range of career paths, whether you are an established academic who currently holds an equivalent position, or a successful academic seeking an opportunity to grow into a more senior role, this is the place to do something truly unique with your expertise.  You will have experience in large data management and analysis as applied to bioinformatics, epidemiology, systems biology, large-scale ‘Omics data analysis, or other health domains.  We are seeking to recruit individuals who have demonstrated the ability to integrate two or more types of datasets such as clinical data, data from ‘Omics technologies, device data, public health data, community or government data.  We are searching for expertise spanning these backgrounds with a track record and demonstrated curiosity for interdisciplinary research. The successful candidate will reinforce strategic bridging between two faculties by providing expertise and leadership at the forefront of ‘big data’ medical research.
