The role
The School of Geographical Sciences is seeking to appoint an exceptionally motivated individual to join an interdisciplinary and dynamic research and teaching cohort in Global Development and Environment at the University of Bristol. The successful applicant will join the States, Economies & Societies (SES) research group, complementing and expanding our capacity for research and teaching in political and economic geography, governance and public policy, and sustainable development with an emphasis on the Global South. We are seeking candidates whose discipline-leading research engages with global developmental challenges, national/international/supranational governance processes and their links to grounded local responses and experiences in specific contexts. Practical experience working across scales, including nationally or with multilateral, bilateral or non-governmental organisations is desirable.
