Applications are invited for the post of Assessment Assistant in the Office of the School of Clinical Medicine.
This key role is based in the assessment team and assists with planning, setting up and running written and practical exams for Medical students. We are in the process of moving to digital assessment platforms for all exams and are looking for a team member who ideally has experience of student assessments and an interest in and aptitude for IT systems. This role is ideal for a professional administrator with exceptional attention to detail and with previous administrative experience.
The role is varied and interesting and involves working closely with administrative and Senior Clinical colleagues on a daily basis as well as liaising with individual students over exam requirements. You will be able to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels and communicate sensitively and positively with students.
You will be well organized and have excellent communication skills and an eye for detail and enjoy working collaboratively with others. You will be proactive and keen to develop and refine the process that you use to ensure efficiency and quality are maintained.
You will need to demonstrate strong IT skills, the ability to pick up new systems rapidly and any experience of digital assessment delivery would be welcome. Good organisational and time management skills, excellent team working skills and a positive and professional attitude are essential.
