About us
King’s College London has secured a £10M investment to create the UK Smart Trials Hub. The Hub, the first of its kind, is a research facility that will study diverse patient data and samples to understand the mechanisms behind an individual’s response to treatments. The data generated in the Hub in partnership with clinical, academic and pharmaceutical partners will help to develop targets for and approaches to treat complex diseases.
The facility will house state-of-the-art analytical platforms and AI-driven techniques to define characteristics of individual patients' diseases. This innovative approach enables accurate predictions of which patients will benefit from existing and new therapies – critical for designing efficient, cost-effective and inclusive clinical trials.
About the role
The Facility Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that the physical environment and infrastructure supporting this groundbreaking facility are efficiently maintained and optimally utilised. As a Facility Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of research and laboratory spaces, ensuring the safety, functionality, and compliance of the facilities with regulatory standards.
This position will involve close collaboration with the research teams, academic staff, and external contractors to facilitate seamless operation and provide logistical support for the successful implementation of the programme. The role requires a professional with strong operational and managerial expertise, excellent communication skills and capable of leading and coordinating a multi-disciplinary team.
This is a full-time (35 Hours per week), offered on an indefinite contract.
