About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join an experienced and lively team in the Education Office in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a leading department among UK universities with a reputation for excellence in both teaching and research. The department is part of the Faculty of Engineering and consists of approximately 750 undergraduates, 180 MSc students, 260 postgraduate research students, and 200 staff.

What you would be doing

The Education Support Administrators provide administrative support for a range of education tasks for either undergraduate (UG) or postgraduate students throughout their whole life cycle from recruitment to graduation. You will undertake a variety of tasks, including:

  • Supporting the effective and efficient delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the department in the areas of admissions, examinations, and student progression.
  • Organising student events.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Education Support team to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of the Education Office.
  • Working flexibly to meet demanding service delivery and customer service requirements and to ensure an excellent student experience in the department.

What we are looking for

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated person who is committed to their development and has the following experience/skills:
  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard (or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with student record databases.
  • Experience of working in a customer or service-focused environment.
  • Working knowledge of a range of computer-based procedures and software packages, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook), and Microsoft Apps such as SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication, written and oral, and interpersonal skills, with students and staff.
  • Ability to work within a team, taking the initiative to deal with unforeseen problems and circumstances.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to working in a changing environment.

What we can offer you

This is a Full Time and Open-ended role based at the South Kensington Campus. This role will involve some out-of-hours activity support such as Open Days.
