The opportunity
Opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic leadership, management, and development of knowledge exchange activities and infrastructure at Camberwell, Chelsea, Wimbledon Colleges of Arts.
The Associate Dean of Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise will work with the Dean of Research and Knowledge Exchange, Associate Dean of Research, Deans of Schools, and other Associate Deans to contribute to UAL’s knowledge exchange strategy.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for the development of academic staff in the area of knowledge exchange and enterprise and will act as an advocate for knowledge exchange activity across Camberwell, Chelsea, Wimbledon Colleges of Arts.
About you
You will need demonstrable knowledge of student and research led knowledge exchange, as well as awareness of national knowledge exchange and creative economy agendas, including in-depth understanding of the knowledge exchange framework.
Experience of shaping and influencing academic developments within Higher Education and contributing to knowledge exchange framework narratives is essential, as is an understanding of research processes and practices, and the ability to facilitate collaboration between research and knowledge exchange functions.
You will also need experience of developing and implementing approaches and protocols to support income generation and enterprise.
Motivational skills and the ability to lead a team effectively and set the direction of one or more functions are equally important.
A strong track record of winning and leading on research and development and innovation projects, attracting external funding, and working with industry networks and partners is also essential.
