About the role:
We are seeking an outstanding applicant to join the Optical and Semiconductor Devices (OSD) Group within the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. We welcome applicants with expertise in a wide range of devices and systems for diverse applications.
The OSD Group, currently comprising 8 members of academic staff and about 30 PhD students and postdoctoral staff, offers innovative research opportunities where you can develop your own research in areas such as optical, electrical, and magnetic devices, utilizing both organic and inorganic materials. Our focus spans from fundamental discoveries to innovative applications. You will work alongside a supportive team with expertise in cutting-edge fields such as sensors and systems for Mars exploration and for healthcare, quantum computing devices, micro-power storage and generation, and dynamic thermoelectrics for aerospace applications. You will have access to state-of-the-art micro-fabrication and characterization facilities to support your research.
